Investors punished the buyer, not the seller. Tempus is paying $16.25 a share, a 6% premium to Friday's close, and will fold Personalis's cancer-monitoring test into its AI platform. Tempus shares fell as much as 8% on the news. Expected to close late 2026 or early 2027. Record InMode, the medical-aesthetic device maker fighting over who gets to buy it, told shareholders yesterday its board is still weighing two rival bids, a day after a court deadline passed with no ruling. The committee revealed this is the first time Steel Partners offered to buy 100% of InMode, not just a majority stake. Steel separately accused the CEO of governance failures, including cutting guidance before selling shares at higher prices.
