A federal judge just froze 8 provisions of a rule that would have reshaped how millions of Americans buy Affordable Care Act marketplace health coverage in 2027, days before the changes were set to take effect.
The paused provisions include bigger out-of-pocket maximums for bronze and catastrophic plans and a new path for non-network plans to count as marketplace coverage. They were due to start July 20. The court found them likely unlawful.
