The subsidy capped year-over-year premium hikes and added a $15 discount since 2025\. Now the base premium rises from $38.99 to $41.33\. About 30% of beneficiaries see under $10 monthly increases, 25% see premiums hold or fall. Why it matters This raises what many Medicare drug plan enrollees pay starting in 2027, though CMS says most will see only modest increases or none at all. It has flagged 50 high-risk providers so far. Why it matters A new federal-state data-sharing effort is catching suspect Medicaid billing before payment goes out rather than clawing it back later.
