Oscar Health beats big, but its own guidance math implies a second-half loss
Plus: Privia Health grows Q2 revenue 21%, more than triples net income. The day's rules, money, and enforcement, sourced and tiered below.
Earnings  Confidence: High
Oscar Health, the health insurer known for ACA marketplace plans, posted a huge Q2 swing: 4.88 billion dollars in revenue, up 71 percent, and 361.8 million dollars in profit, reversing a 228.4 million dollar loss a year ago.
The catch: Oscar's own first-half operating income already exceeds its newly raised full-year guidance, meaning the company's own numbers point to an operating loss in the second half of 2026.
Why it matters
Oscar Health's earnings beat masks a warning sign worth watching: the company's own numbers imply a swing back to a loss in the second half of the year, so the headline growth story is not the full picture.

Earnings  Confidence: High
Privia Health, which helps independent physician practices switch to value-based care contracts, grew second-quarter revenue 21 percent to 632.6 million dollars and more than tripled its net income.
Implemented providers grew to 5,644 and value-based care attributed lives reached 1.647 million. Privia raised full-year guidance to the high end of its prior range, up to 2.45 billion dollars in revenue.
Why it matters
Privia Health's strong quarter shows independent physician practices continuing to move into value-based care arrangements at a steady pace, with revenue up 21 percent and profit more than tripling.
