Earnings Confidence: High
RadNet, the largest publicly traded chain of outpatient imaging centers in the US, just posted a 25% revenue jump and opened a new $250 million credit line to buy more imaging centers and AI companies.
Second-quarter revenue hit $622.7 million. AI-specific revenue grew 136% and annual recurring revenue nearly doubled to $105.5 million, filed with the SEC August 10, 2026.

Why it matters
Bigger picture: the largest imaging chain in the country now has more cash and cheaper debt to buy up competitors, a sign of consolidation ahead in local imaging markets. Watch whether more independent groups get bought in your area.

Rule Confidence: Medium
Medicare's proposed 2027 doctor pay rule cuts the base rate again, but radiology's own specialty societies say the code-level math tells a very different story than the headline cut.
CT angiography of the chest is proposed to rise 149% to $83.09, while CT of the upper extremity without contrast is proposed to fall 15%. Comments close September 14, 2026.

Why it matters
The headline "Medicare cut doctor pay again" hides big winners and losers underneath; if you get imaging done, access to certain scans may shift as practices adjust to code-level reimbursement changes.
