In exchange for cutting Medicaid prices to match foreign markets, the companies get exemption from a separate Medicare pricing push, tariff protection, and committed $19.6 billion to US manufacturing. Why it matters This expands a voluntary drug pricing program that now touches most branded drugs sold to Medicaid.
