UnitedHealthcare's CFO Wayne DeVeydt said Sept 9 that 2026 MA margins now track the upper half of the company's 2-4% target range. Elevance and Centene echoed the retreat, both prioritizing dual-eligible retention over 2027 growth. Record Trinity Health, the Catholic nonprofit hospital system based in Livonia, Michigan, is laying off 557 information-technology workers as it hands its IT support desk over to an outside vendor. A state WARN notice shows layoffs running October 25 through November 29, largest among Service Desk Support roles. Trinity Health, which operates in 23 states, says patient-facing jobs are not affected.
